Welcome to my personal website.

I am a pharmacist, founder of Sikalias Pharmacy and CEO of Sikalias Pharmaceutical Laboratories. My scientific and professional work sits at the intersection of community pharmacy, evidence-based compounding, pharmaceutical care, formulation science and health product development.

Through Sikalias Pharmacy and Sikalias Pharmaceutical Laboratories, I work with a common focus on quality, stability, documentation and the conversion of real therapeutic and market needs into practical solutions for patients, physicians, pharmacies and healthcare companies.

In daily practice, many compounded prescriptions are not simply preparations. They are formulation challenges involving compatibility assessment, dosage-form design, preservation strategy, stability rationale and disciplined development workflow.

At the same time, pharmaceutical care is a core part of my pharmacist identity: from diabetes support in community pharmacy and guidance on self-monitoring devices to medication adherence, polypharmacy and structured patient education.

Biography

• Born in Athens in 1972.
• Graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in 1995.
• Completed military service during 1995–1997.
• Attended postgraduate studies in Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics during 1997–1999.
• In 1998, I founded Sikalias Pharmacy, continuing my family’s pharmacy heritage that began in 1967.
• Since 2000, I have specialized in pharmaceutical compounding and in an evidence-based approach to individualized preparations.
• In 2003, I began developing natural dermocosmetics under the Kallio brand.
• In 2012, I launched the laboratory and development activity that evolved into today’s Sikalias Pharmaceutical Laboratories.
• In 2016, I undertook a coordinating role in the National Compounding Committee of IDEEAF and the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association.
• In 2017, a major upgrade of the production and R&D infrastructure was completed.
• In 2025, a second support site was added in the Peristeri Industrial Area.

My strongest interests include scientific collaborations, speaking engagements, healthcare professional training and projects where knowledge of compounding, formulation, pharmaceutical care and documentation can be translated into real clinical and business value.

• I lead the scientific and development direction of Sikalias Pharmaceutical Laboratories.
• I support formulation development and contract manufacturing projects for pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, medical devices, FSMPs and cosmetics.
• I approach development through a full cycle: brief → formulation → pilot → stability → technical dossier.
• My scientific foundation starts with evidence-based pharmacy compounding, extends to scalable formulation R&D and includes responsible pharmacist-led pharmaceutical care in daily practice.
• I develop educational material and presentations around compounding, pharmaceutical care, diabetes support, medication adherence and the correct use of self-monitoring devices.
